Media release – Sept. 30, 2014, Kitchener, ON: The K-W Badminton Club is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a $26,700 Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant, to refinish and repair its existing six badminton courts. These funds have been used to repair and refinish five of the badminton courts, completely replace one damaged older court, and repaint all the court lines.

“This grant has been instrumental in helping our club update our facility, and maintain its status as a preeminent place for people of all ages to play badminton in Ontario”, says Dan Pronovost, Vice President of the K-W Badminton Club. “OTF continues to be an important financial contributor to our club’s success and growth”, says Brad Clarke, president of the K-W Badminton Club.

KW-Bad_smallThe K-W Badminton Club is a non-profit organization located at 69 Agnes St. in Kitchener (formerly the KW Granite Club). The club has played badminton at this location for over 80 years. The club purchased the building November 2013, and is actively renovating the former curling and dining areas of the facility to introduce new sports and organizations, creating the K-W Badminton and Multi-Sport Centre.
