The IUCC Tournament hosted by our club February 7 was a big success, with about 65 participants from colleges and universities across the province!

Thank you so much to the volunteers who came in early to run the registration desk, took shifts throughout the day to time on the courts or cater the snack bar, and stayed late to help with clean-up.  Tournaments cannot run without the dedication of volunteer board members and assistants!  Not only do they provide an excellent experience for competitive players, but also generate extra revenue for the club.

Port Hope Junior B Tournament:
Three of our junior members participated in the Port Hope Tournament a few weeks ago, with excllent results!  Congratulations to K-W Badminton Club members:
Seth Lewis, finalist in the U14 Men’s Singles A final;
Victoria Duong, winner in the U19 Women’s Singles B final;
Carl Wong and Seth Lewis, winners in the U14 Men’s Doubles B final.

Congratulations to our juniors who participated in the Black Knight Junior Regional Circuit tournament that same weekend in Mississauga.  Honourable mention goes to K-W Badminton Club members Amy MacKinlay, Anna Kozbor, Nick Pehme, and Youngwon Kim.
